China O'Brien A glorious fusion of 80s synths and shades of 70s electronic music, creating an unique soundscape. Would love to hear more like this in the future! Favorite track: Paladin's Theme.

GnomeSlice One of my new favourite artists, definitely the DJ to my Q4 2014.

There's a kind of spacey, otherworldly flair to all of his music that just does it for me.

Also check out his other music project, Cosmic Angst. Favorite track: The Duel.
CYBERMAGE

CYBERMAGE a simply beautiful showcase of how the genre displays its wonderful spectrum... definitely my top for 2014. Favorite track: Paladin's Theme.

about

Whilst still working under the name Mild Peril and after the self-release of "Unknown Zones", I released the album "Matter' on the popular Telefuture label. Influenced by italo disco, hollywood fantasy film soundtracks and, to some extent, new age music, this brought in some attention from the burgeoning 'synthwave' scene. At the time I was happy to indulge the more over-the-top tendencies of that style of music but I later revisited the album to make some refinements and remove tracks I wasn't so happy with in retrospect.

As far as I know, cassette copies of this original version of the album are still available from Telefuture: telefuturenow.bandcamp.com/album/matter
